I was really inspired after watching Planet Earth to start doing some underwater paintings. Started painting this while watching the show, and it kinda just developed as I did it. Wanted to convey a Water kami, or water spirit, blending into the ocean reef, and caught off guard by gaze of a human. Main goal was to capture the colors and vivid beauty of the ocean floor.
